What exactly is a Cyanotype, you ask? Cyanotypes are created using a light-sensitive chemical solution applied to paper, and then the image is created by taking a contact negative and “burning” it onto the sheet of paper using a UV light. I had been curious about this process for some time, so I created a darkroom in my bathroom and decided to finally take my first swing at it. The images featured on these prints are 35mm film shots that I took in San Francisco and Japan this past October~
