THE FOX THEATRE - 10/22/18
if you leave the fox theatre and head north on woodward avenue, you’ll find tonight’s inspiration - built in 1911 and abandoned in 2005, the woodward avenue presbyterian church stands as a testament to the effect that time can have on the material. a once thriving church of over 2,000 members now slowly fades back into the concrete landscape.
SO OBVIOUSLY, there’s nothing else I would have rather drawn for tonight’s @nineinchnails show. as soon as I knew this was going to be a poster for detroit, I began hunting for the best piece of abandonment that the city had to offer. and I tell you what, it’s got a whole hell of a lot to offer.
it’s always such an incredible honor to do work for such a notable band, huge thanks to jeff and everyone at livenation for making this happen. had a whole lot of fun putting this one together.
